GUIDE TO ANNOTATE A TRAFFIC LIGHT TIGHTLY

  • Every traffic lights you need to annotate and labeling all carefully. Now this is the sample of a good quality of labeling.
  • Select all the complete attribute on every bounding box that you will make which is the Color , Type and Numbers, you will notice if the the attributes is complete if the box will become blue is a sign your work is already complete all the attributes.
  • You will not have a misleading in color of traffic lights once you remember the format of the color,
  1. RED : is always on the left / upper part
  2. GREEN is always on the right / bottom part
  3. YELLOW is always on the middle.

  • You can see in the bottom part of your image that there is a loading bars indication.
  1. Green Bar: Meaning that your work is saving, if this become yellow when you already go to the next images then it`s not saving.
  2. Yellow: That is your currently labeling stage.
  3. Blue: That is the image that has been already.
  4. Gray: Meaning the images is not loaded yet.

Basic Instruction:

  • When you encounter that there is a blurred traffic lights bulb, you have to based on the sequence of the images, if you can see it clearly on the next images you have to based on the nearest traffic that you will see.
  • This is the right pattern of the traffic lights like this.
.However if the  U-turn lights are off the outer box should be in the whole traffic lights.

  • Traffic lights that are too far should have label but without the inner box.
  • Do not label truncated image as black, Do not label truncated lights unless more than half of the bulb is visible.

  • DO NOT label back of traffic light. Especially  do not label them as black light.

  • On occluded traffic lights, you will based in the percentage of how much they can see the in light bulb, if it`s 50% above they must label it.
  • It is also important that the inner should have equal width.
  • Label pedestrian lights at pedestrian even if its on side view.
  • On night mode images, if you can`t see the outer box clearly don`t label it.
  • Skip tags if image don`t have any bounding box.
  • If you encounter this night mode images just put a outer box.
